Derasa Clam - XL (5"-6" Length)
Derasa Clam Clams are bivalves whose bodies are enclosed in two shells. Some live on top of the substrate in an aquarium, though many burrow into it. Clams are popular for mature reef aquariums, but can be difficult to care for. Tridacna Deresa are one of the easier clams to care for. This clam will need moderate to intense lighting to survive and grow. The Derasa Clam is the second largest of the Tridacna clams and can obtain a size of 2 feet in the wild. This clam benefits from the addition of trace elements, strontium, calcium, magnesium and iodine.
