Honeycomb Brain Coral - Large (2.5"-3.5" Length)

Honeycomb Brain Coral These coral colonies are massive and usually spherical or form large, flat, thick plates. Goniastrea are a hardy species and often are a dominant coral of rock platforms or mudflats. This coral has stinging tentacles that extend at night and care should be given when placing this next to other corals. G. Palauensis tends to be a more uncommon coral. Similar species include G. Peresi and G. Aspera. Benefits from the addition of trace elements, strontium and calcium. It is also important to maintain stable alkalinity and magnesium levels. Photosynthetic but can be fed additional foods such as phytoplankton, brine shrimp, and other micro-planktons.
